Do you have a date on your product ?
Yes we do, Our label displays a number not a date. The number can be translated as such; example: 06 192. First two digits are the year, this is the year 2006, the next 3 show how many days past since the beginning of the year this example has 192 the date is July 7th 2006. January 1 2007 would be 07 001, while December 31 2007 would be 07 365.
How long can the product last in a freezer ?
According to
Langtree, K. and Armbruster,
G. 1996 Quantity Food Sanitation 5th ed.. Lowest
Salmonella growth temperature reported in a food was 44˚F (6.7˚C).
Time-temperature effects on Salmonella and Staphylococci in
foods. 1. Behavior in refrigerated foods. American Journal of Public

Basically 6 at 0°, 9 months at
-4°. The lower the better.
Why don't you put an expiration date on the package ?
Expiration date is dependent on the grocers freezer temperature. Some grocers keep their freezers at 0° to save on electric bills. If you ever come across a package of ours where the products looks like it's been defrosted, or when you take it home there is a foul smell return it immediately to the store you purchased it from.
Are you under USDA inspection ?
Yes. Our establishment number is on every meat (beef, chicken, lamb, turkey) product we make. If you simply need the number and you do not have one of our product available. Our Number is 33954 for beef and P-33954 for Poultry, for more information click here.
